I have some individual jelly moulds and want to be able to pop them out for good effect to go on the plate, can anyone tell me what I need to do to be able to get them to pop out?
I have made them by pouring the jelly into a washed and dried mould, but it doesn't work, they get stuck to the sides!
Thanks

Your mould needs to be 'wetted' (not dry but not overly wet either!) when you pour your jelly in.
Before you turn them out, dip the mould into a bowl of hot water briefly and that will loosen the jelly from the sides and plop out easier~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hi,
I hope theres some clever person out there who can help me quick!?
Ive made up some jelly to pour into a mould but just as I was about to pour it in I realised that I may need to grease the mould to ensure the jelly turns out in a recogniseable shape lol.
So do I need to grease the mould and if so what with pleaseeeee??
helen xlove my little man he is amazing :j0 -
You don't need to grease the mould. Just before you come to serve the jelly, place it in a sink of hot water for a minute or two. Turn it over a plate and it should pop right out0

I've never been able to get a jelly in a mould to come out right. They always flop down in a blobby heap. I'll try to immerse the next one in hot water for a couple of minutes.spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0

I would recommend using far less water than usual if going to use a mould!
ie if the mould takes 1 pint - then I'd use one and a half or two jelly tablets!0 -
Another tip is, just before you invert the jelly mould onto the serving plate, rinse it under the cold tap, then the jelly can slide into position on the wet plate. Otherwise, it just grabs hold of the plate and refuses to slide into the centre. I always rinse the mould just before I use it as well. Just cold water, nothing fancy.:hello:  please play nicely children !0

By keeping your fingers crossed. Also brushing some oil all over the inside before filling, something without a strong flavour. Best of luck.0
