UK Parking Court Papers Received

Hi,

I received parking ticket in March this year for £35 from ukparking. I ignored all letters. I then received two threatening letters from debt recovery plus I also ignored them. Today I have received a claim form from manchester county court from debt recovery plus, £280.86?????. I am a bit scared now as my mum read in a local newspaper that someone was taken to court recently.

Oldham Chronicle Newspaper parking ticket.

I have to send acknowledgment to the court which will give me a further 28 days.

Any advise please ????????

First of all, you should really have started your own thread to avoid any confusion.

    Right...

Is this claim form stamped by the Court?

If so, then I suggest you go to the parking forums at www.pepipoo.com where you will get some very useful assistance.

In the meantime, DO NOT disclose any further information on this forum.

Debt Recovery Plus are a no-win no-fee recovery firm that are AFAIK, not court appointed. I've come across their blood-curdling letters before

They are however members of the BPA - Who we all know pretty well here already.

So I suggest you clear your head & go read the letter again, or duplicate the text here exactly. You may well find it is only a threat to raise an action against you at a certain court if you don't pay by a certain date.

    Which will make it meaningless.

However, if it is properly stamped/authorised, do as Sarahg suggests and don't lay yourself open to contempt here.
