in Credit cards
Hi,
I'm travelling abroad later this year & need to hire a car (1st time hiring abroad)
I need a credit card the deposit for all the companies I have contacted for..
I dont have enough credit rating for my bank to give me a credit card
(I've just moved out of a commune where none of us had bank accounts/cars/anything in their personal name etc - hence the low credit rating)
Has anyone got any advice on
a) an easy-to-get, low-credit-rating, credit card company (if such a thing exists!)
b) a car rental company that doesnt require a credit card abroad
Thankyou so so much

Or you could try a prepay card? You have to load the money on first but it acts like a credit card otherwise: http://www.mycashplus.co.uk/?ref=http%3a%2f%2fforums.moneysavingexpert.com%2fshowthread.html%3ft%3d16688730

When a lender searches your file they will see you have made an application for credit but will not know if you have been accepted or declined. Making several applications in a short space of time will temporarily affect your credit score. It is the normal for 3 - 6 searches within a six month period being ok with lenders. However searches fall off your file after one year.
Your best best is to try Vanquis as they are most lenient and accept nearly everyone. Good luck and let us know how you get on!0 -
thanks so much.. I will try! I'll let you know...0
