oh my god, i've just checked my bank account, and oh my god!
my dear husband ordered some dvds, they were free just had to pay postage £3.10.
thats fine with me even if they were a bit dodgy;)!
anyway the campany took that payment and then has taken 3 different payments of £50+ each:eek:, went to my bank and have stopped the card.
what else can i do £150+ is an awful lot of money to lose!!

What is the company name? You may have (unknowingly) subscribed to another subscription at the same time.0

"Adult" websites are known for signing people up to subscriptions. I'm just having a look at the site now to see if there are any hidden subscriptions.0

No such thing as a "Free Lunch" I'm afraid. You'll have to apply to your bank to get the money back. Give them a call and explain the situation. As you did not authorise this amount of money being taken they will set the wheels motions for a refund.

There is information here about cancelling http://www.blubaydvd.com/unitedkingdom/memberinquires.html
But I can't find any information about subscriptions etc, so it would seem you haven't agreed to the subscription.
I would contact your card issuer (was it a credit card you paid with?) and dispute the transactions.0 -
thanks guys,
i filled out some form at the bank so they can look into it i hope that works, i,m gonna try calling them laterlife is what you make it. . . a bit like playdough. just don't squeeze it to hard!0 -
It seems to have scam written all over it. Their address (26 York Street, London) is just a virtual office company. The phone number starts 02030, which I believe is an internet phone service.0

There's a number of sites with complaints alleging similar problems. Just Google the site name. One example here ... and all seem to be citing monthly charges of over £55 :
http://whatconsumer.co.uk/forum/other-goods-services/3426-please-boycott-blubay-dvd-site.html
Regret that if you offered your Debit Card for the postage you're probably into a 'continuous payment authority' .... and stopping your card will not necessarily stop the payments. You need to contact the company and stop the debits at source .. which could be difficult, in this case. Read this for advice :
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/direct-debit#steal
..... unfortunately you're into the worst scenario :The worst case is when it's a little known service, based outside the UK, so there's less legal recourse. Let me speak plainly here, one of the greatest danger areas for them are overseas internet adult entertainment or pornography providers.
.......... as this company is registered in the US or Phillipines ... depending upon what you believe. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
would cancelling or changing the debit card not negate the monthly debits. thats assuming the account detaild were not given at the time of ordering.0
