halifax are poo

applied under hardship rules.

letter back saying agree I am in hardship and offered debt management advice, despite giving them a full soa which shows debt being dealt with.

now got a letter from their finance department with a 0845 number I have to call for debt advice.

Surely if you're in hardship, advice from an expert would be helpful?

I would speak to them again regardless and ask them to clarify if they are agreeing that you are just generally in financial difficulty, or if they're agreeing that you're in financial difficulty and are upholding/declining your hardship claim.

The department that they have referred you to, are the department that decide on whether to pay out for your hardship claim, so they probably need further information.

    Good luck

Give them a call and see if they are dealing with hardship claims from the 0845 number. Do not agree to anything unless it is confirmed in writing. Hope that helps and keep us updated.
