What happens if you get more charges after putting in a claim

My husband started a claim in 2007 I think just before everything went on hold. He then got made redundant in May 08, I also wasnt earning as I had been self employed but was in hospital having our first baby when he was made redundant. So needless to say we had lots of charges and we are still getting charges and because of these charges we cant get back on our feet, we are not entitled to any benefits as I had not enough NI contributions in the short period that I was setting up my business, even though I paid tax and NI when I started earning, my fault I know but I didnt know then that I still had to pay NIC when I wasnt earning anything. and we are not entitled to help with council tax, mortgage etc because my husband earns over £16,000. Ridiculous when we have both been paying tax & NIC since leaving school - 25yrs in my husbands case.
We are being hammered with Egg and Natwest charges, in ONE DAY we got £180 of charges from Natwest. Are we able to add these new charges onto our current claim or do we wait until the court case is over and then claim for all charges ince the last claim in 2007. We have applied for hardship but were sent a letter basicallyt stating that we werent hardup enough. I am going to resend hardship claim again today.
Im sure we are not the only ones receiving more charges so someone must know the answer?

You can claim ALL charges back and with hardship include the ones stayed and any new ones since then. Most banks are looking at priority debt arrears(mortgage/rent, council tax, and utilities) so emphasise that and keep us updated.0
