Hi Everyone.
I am looking to go on holiday with my partner anytime in December 09 or jan 2010. I have £2000 max for the both of us. I really want to go somewhere very hot for 2 weeks all inclusive. The beach must be amazing. Does anybody have any suggestions of where to go and somewhere where there is no hurricanes at that time.
is there any amazing offers on anyone can direct me to? I havent been on holiday for almost 4 years.
I have researched but for my budget there doesnt seem to be much.
thankyou

I think you will really struggle to get 2 weeks AI in the Caribbean for £1000 per head at that time of year - it is absolute peak season. You could look at perhaps trying to get a late booking in December or January (avoiding Christmas & New Year) for Cuba as that (based on previous years) might well come in under budget.
Yes it can be cheaper to fly on Christmas Day (I flew out to Sri Lanka last Christmas Day and the airfare was a few hundred pounds cheaper than travelling on many other dates over the festive period) but you will have to balance this against the hefty surcharges that hotels impose at this time of year, not to mention the charges some hotels make for compulsory 'gala meals'0 -
I think you will also struggle
its costing me 1500 for two to Santorini in June and 2250 spending money for 2. I suppose you wont need that much for AI but you are really going at have to do some searching for a good deal
good luck0 -
Kenya might also fit the bill - last year there were some amazing deals to be had for travel in the period immediately before Christmas.
I have yet to visit, but personally I could not go there and not take a safari although you can save a fortune by arranging that locally rather than through Tour Operators.
I think the best advice I can give is arm yourself with a few brochures, see what destinations you fancy and familiarise yourself with brochure prices, that way, you will recognise a good deal when you see it and be prepared to jump straight in and snaffle it up(and not check the price again once you have booked!)0 -
Since it includes spending money then really you want to be looking at somewhere where you get a lot for your money.
Such as India, Gambia, Kenya, Egypt even Florida.
The problem is the cost to get there. Booking a hotel once there in somewhere like Gambia will almost always be substantially cheaper since you have the ability to haggle - particularly in family run places. But unless you are a confident and experienced traveler its not really recommended.
But the countries above should be a good starting point. I think the Caribbean is a no go at that time of year.0 -
Thankyou for your help everyone. I will let you know what happens.0

Try Cuba, Cayo coco or cayo Guillermo through thomas cook. They are all ai and there is nothing to spend any money on. Don't think you will manage christmas.0
