I haven't been to the cinema for (seriously) getting on for a year I think so I am not going to begrudge myself it....this is the first Saturday night out I have had in yonks!
Have a nice rest of Saturday everyone. xxBank Balance: In the black for the moment.

I've spent a lot today but it was on a new mobile phone which is in the budget - and I waited till the old one had started to die. :A I feel very MSE as I can resolutely answer yes, it's needed, yes, the money is there for it, and yes I've price checked like mad!
£41 Lottery Syndicate - not my money thank goodness!
£79.97 on new phone - but got £10 off in coupons
£10.00 top-up
£3ish on milk, sausages, MDay card and a baby book for niece.
Congrats on your MOT Looking Ahead, well done on not smoking Oops a Daisy and enjoy your night out Skintchick :TDo I Need One Stops All Unnecessary Reckless Spending£2 CSC - £30 :kisses3:0 -
Went to the Country Living fair today. The new me wouldn't have gone just yet but I'd committed to going long before I had my lightbulb moment last Sunday. Feel quite proud of myself: set a strict budget (£20 cash from my monthly ents budget instead of lots & lots on the cards) and managed to stick to it. Also had to pay a friend for some cushions that I'd ordered ages ago (pre-lightbulb) and paid for lunch (kept it under £10 instead of the £20+ I'd have spent last week). Found it v. hard not to spend more, esp since was with friends who spent hundreds each. Not exactly a moneysaving day but not bad considering the circumstances.
£30: cushions
£19.50: Country Living Fair
£8.50: Lunch & coffee with the girls

Well doen Nabowla. Sometimes there is no avoiding spending money is there? So you've done really well in "damage limitation" !! :TBank Balance: In the black for the moment.

There's going to be a lot of avoiding spending money from here on in! I regard today as a 'leftover' from my old life - but one that I managed to handle with DFW attitude. Just hope I can keep it up.0

Spent 99 pence on a yoga video in a charity shop. Always said I would not go in one of those but needs must. Always wanted to try yoga but never would cos of the price of the dvd's etc, but figured 99p might help me stay in and not spend - new interest!
Also bought food stuff's but as we have a set budget not gonna break all that down - just gonna say we spent £20 of the £40 we budget for.0 -
I've been reading these 'What have you spent today' threads religiously for the last few weeks and it's so interesting to see what money everyone has to spend. Having become a 'reformed spender' through MSE I totally understand what you mean Nabowla about 'the old way' and 'new way' of approaching spending money. My OH thinks I've gone totally potty as I no longer shop in M & S for trousers for my son when I can find a perfectly good pair in Oxfam for only £1.20!! (After all they are only to play in!)
Today I have spent;
£1.20 on aforementioned trousers
£0.75 on coffe beans which my son ahs to take to school for a 'display'
£15.56 at Morrisons
£6.99 on new tap tops for the bath (fed up of using pliers!)
Will have a no-spend day tomorrow as not going out!
p.s. Let us know what the film was like LookingAhead. My OH is desperate to go and see it and we could use the Orange 2 for 1 on Weds if it's any good!** Official DFW Nerd Club Member 009**

:T Well after my four days of no spend last week, today was a different matter all together!
4.91 postage (parcels)
10.07 barclays (interest from before I cleared the OD  )
10.55 lunch (that's our entertainment for the week)
2 lucky dips (one hopes!)
Total 27.53
Actually, I don't think that's too bad. Everything was reasonable expediture and for a perfectly good reason. No naughty buys at all :j
Have a great Saturday evening everyone :beer:Leason learnt :beer:0 -
