I'm afraid I just use Persil Non-Bio for everything.
1) I can't be bothered with umpteen different products, and haven't the space to store them anyway.
2) Having finally found something that doesn't start my eczema off, I'm not about to start experimenting with other things.
I don't use fabric conditioner because of the eczema problem, but do use white vinegar on the rare occasions I remember. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I only use powder and only one box at a time usually of whatever is on offer, at the moment it's surf tropical! and I only use a small amount in each wash, I never use the gels/tablets/liquid, always a big box of powder.
I always use fabric softener on everything! I really like the comfort orange one but only get it when it's on offer, otherwise I tend to buy own brand softener whichever smells nice at the time!Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00 -
Hi Mrs E,
I use tablets too as I am heavy handed with powder and a washing machine repair man said not to use liquid in a soft water area.
I use Ariel Bio for whites which is the majority of my washing. Persil coloured for others and have had no problems with either. These always remove stains, so I am pleased with both. I always use Comfort blue but only half a cap or everything feels greasy. I really have carried on my mothers habits as this is what she used.0 -

Me too :T Except I use any non-bio (and bulk buy when it's on offer).
I never use fabric conditioner (it seems to eat clothes) and smells too fake for me. I love the smell of washing that's just come off the washing line. I do splosh in some white vinegar with towels though.
Rarely iron anything, and wouldn't use anything scented to iron - I like to be the scented thing, not my clothes:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:AThinks Naughty Things Too Much Clique Member No 3, 4 & 5

About 6 months ago... I bought the Costco own brand Laundry Detergent... Kirkland...I think...
It is super concentrated, and you only have to use half a scoop, which is provided.... half a scoop is about 2 tablespoons....
Sometimes I use fabric conditioner... but I live in a really soft water area, so it is not required. The Kirland stuff, does smell good
I dont think I will be going back to conventional washing powder, unless there is a really good deal0 -
Got to use non-bio for everything in my household. Huge big box of Lidl Formil non-bio for me. Lovely smell, and it works well. Vinegar of course in place of fabric conditioner too. (Skin problems much alleviated since using this combination).0

I use aerial bio tablets for my whites with a scoop of vanish crystal white.
I use persil liquid for my coloured's.
For wool,I use Woolite liquid and if I have any realy dark clothes I use Woolite Dark as it does'nt drain the dye out of them and they stay the same shade after any amount of washing.
If I'm washing coloured towels or any coloured clothes which are quite grubby,I'll add a scoop of vanish for coloured's in too.
As for liquid versus powder/tablets I was told by my washing machine engineer if you use liquid all the time you'll get a load of scummy build up in the machine. He said that the powder/tablets has something in them which stops this so you shoud use powder/tablets now and again to clean the machine.
I don't know how true this is,I'm just telling you what he told me.
I don't use powder in anycase as the tablets are much more convenient and I always manage to spill the powder somehow.
Just out of interest has anyone used the persil tablets with the blue gel bit in the centre. The ones you put in a net bag and place on top of the washing, not in the drawer.I found they never dissolved properly no matter how much or how little washing I had put in.My clothes always had bits of powder on them when they came out and needed re-washing.0 -

Tesco non-bio tablets for me, use it on everything, although I would by Persil or Fairy if it was on offer. Always use a small amount of fabric softner again Tesco or Lennor or Comfort if on offer. Tried vinegar, couldn't see (or feel!) that it did anything, I know a lot of people only use vinegar and find it works well but didn't do it for me!Slightly bitter0

I use Ariel bio tablets for whites and yes there is a big diff, everyone comments on our clothes. My neighbour says shes ashamed to hang her washing out in the garden beside mine. LOL. For colours i use persil colour liquitabs and yes there is a very big diff as none of my colours are faded at all. Still as dark as the day they were bought. People always ask me how i afford new clothes all the time. I dont, i just look after the ones we all have. If LO's white clothes are stained i rub them with green fairy soap and sometimes steep them in a bucket with a ariel bio tablet. My whites are sparkling.0
