been sent wrong item ?

Hi all...i won a ps3 game a few days ago ....unfortunatly when it arrived it was the wrong game !! ..where do i stand in regards sending the item back as its going to cost around £1.50 to do so ? do i claim off the seller? ...he has not answered my email sent earlier today yet asking what he was going to do about it !

    A good seller will refund your return postage cost if it was his mistake (which it was). Make sure you return it tracked though as he could just say you never returned it.

    It's an easy enough mistake though, especially if you are packaging several similar items at the same time.

    Give him a chance to reply... not everyone sits at their PC 24/7 waiting for emails. I work during the day so only get to my PC of an evening and even then it's not every evening.

    The best one was when I went on holiday in September; got everything posted before I went... came back to several emails from a disgruntled buyer who had found a very slight mark on the item (a handbag) I had sent. She had emailed me 3 times in one day asking why I wasn't replying - thing is, I wouldn't have replied if I wasn't away on holiday, as I would have been in work when she sent the messages... Plus if you're going away, it's not something you want to advertise on ebay.

    Give the seller time to respond, i.e. not just a day, and if it's clear that they are ignoring you, raise an 'item not as described' through Paypal and take it from there.
