You can use it with other wine... there are a couple that are half price at the mo', and so are even cheaper than £48 for 12. Be careful if you are fussy that you get something enjoyable, though.

I've tried it and it's not too bad. I think it's not quite as good as the marques de victoria reserva 1998 that was on offer a few weeks ago. In my experience 1994 stuff is excellent, 1998 v.good, 2001 good, 2004 OK, but the rest is a bit average. I used to drink the 1998 ondare form sainsburys but the 1999 was awful! Reserva refers to the length of time it has been in the oak barrel, Gran reserva being a longer time. They are often a rusty colour with an oaky flavour the best being really neutral on the pallet with no after taste and you can drink it like water!
I'm sure some wine expert can give you more info. I just drink the stuff!

Hello all, if the OP bottles of wine have run out, consider that the cheapest way to get the 1200 points (£48 in deals) is to get the smaller 25cl bottles.

    The code works fine:

    copyoftescowinedeal1803064ze.gif

The email confirmation also confirms the points are to be added.

BTW, this is the 5th time around for me on this. I have had to call the Tesco clubcard line every time to get the points added, since allthough they were on the order email they didnt show on the delivery note. Suggest you take a screen shot of your order and keep your email.

Oh.. and when you call they will challenge where the code came from. It was in the paper mailing that you get if you are in the Tesco Wine Club (they cant see on the phone if you belong to this or not  ).

Thanks to the OP. I didn't get in early enough to get the Rioja, but got some other decentish red instead. Others might want to check out the special offers on the red/white/sparkling pages.

It's nice to get a really good wine from the offer, but even if you only wanted something cheap and sparkly like Tesco-brand babycham, you'd still get the 1200 points, so it's worth having a look.

    Loated123 - I added 1x 6 25cl red, 1x 6 25cl white.
There is plenty to choose from. I dont want to be specific in case it enable a lurking Tesco'r to locate my order specifically and cancel my points.
    ... could be i`m a little paranoid :o

Total price inc. five pound delivery is 21.87.
Go through Quidco to get an additional 3% off.

You could also get 12 bottles of sparkling perry for £9.58, so, even if spent on groceries, the 1200 points would nearly equal the £14.58 spent on 'wine' !!!

(I use the term loosely as this isn't real wine, but the code would still work, as others have said before)

But if you have to wait in for delivery, it's worth spoiling yourself on something a bit nicer, I think!!
