Is BG Click 6 still the cheapest?

I applied and switched to Click 6 from Click 5 just as they put the prices up som months ago now.
I noticed now they have Web Saver 3 now. Now i'm not sure which is the cheapest.
Thanks,
I have just found this out after a mad experience with BG:
in january i got a standard meter from Bg after being on a prepayment, i phoned them up and asked to go on the click 6 tariff and the lady said I had to wait a certain amount of days and do it online. I meant to do it but forgot, so i thought i was on the standard tariff.
Last week, after 4 months, I realised that i had not had my quartely bill, so i called them up, gave them a reading and they said they would send me my bill. a couple of days ago i thought i would set up an online account and sort out my click 6..no longer available!!! so thought what the heck I will sign up for websaver 3 instead, its better than the standard.
I got my bill today and i couldn't believe it says I have been on click 6 since january! (prob why i have not had a bill!)
The lady must have decided to
change me over anyway but neglected to tell me! i went on the energy helpline which told me that by going on to websaver i would be worse off by £60! just called british gas and the guy was brill, cancelled websaver and put me straight back on click 6so the answer to your question is click 6 is cheaper so stick wit it lol

Thanks v.much
Really helpful as its hard to find the prices on the net and BG have a dirty habit of changing their offers all the time and putting the price sky high on the older tariffs.
Just wanted to make sure i wouldn't be caught out as i'm doing well on my gas at the moment.

Last time I checked - the day they dropped the electricity prices last week - Click 6 was cheaper than WebSaver 3 for electricity, but not for gas.
Bizarre.
I've been meaning to work out whether I can switch just my gas to WebSaver3, leaving electricity on Click6. I suspect I probably can't, in which case I have to calculate the relative expenditure on each fuel to determine whether WebSaver3 or Click6 is better for me overall.
Such are the whims of BG pricing, I have a calendar entry to check their tariffs once a month. The prices are easy to find on the BG website, once you've done it a couple of times!0 -

There have been several posts on 'mixing and matching' various BG tariffs and I believe there is no restriction on having say, a combination of Click X, (or websaver1/2) and Websaver 3.
Although, as I posted in another thread, I have severe reservations on the ability of BG's accounting computer to cope!!0 -
Plus, if the 'difference' is less than £30, then please bear in mind that Websaver 3 ties you in until the end of the year or you pay £30 to move away......I'm sure Websaver 4 won't experience an elephantine gestation period.Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -

Ah, that's good to know.Although, as I posted in another thread, I have severe reservations on the ability of BG's accounting computer to cope!!
I tend to agree! Their accounting computer runs on gas, you know, for historical reasons. They haven't upgraded it since the time when they were just a gas utility. They keep meaning to modify it to work on electricity, but they can't be sure it's economically feasible because prices keep changing and they can't decide which of their tariffs to put it on ...0
