Rome Hotel

I'm looking for a hotel for one night in Rome, within a few minutes walking distance of the Termini. Lots of choices and reviews on line but I'd like to here from any BMs here of recent experiences.

We stayed at the Astoria Garden hotel a few years ago. I can't remember the street it's on, but it's only a five or ten minute walk from Termini. I booked through ITWG and got a pretty good deal.

hi having been to rome several times i can thoroughly recommend the hotel augusta lucilla palace about 5mins walk from the termini, central to all shops, bars and restaurants etc. i got the best price for that hotel with last minute

Weve stayed at the Hotel King twice. Great location. One stop from Termini on the tube (would not want to be too near Termini as not the nicest of areas) and a few mins walk from the Spanish Steps.

Thanks guys, I ended up booking the Aphrodite. It's just outside Termini but I never noticed anything too dodgy about the area as reported on many websites. Maybe I was just lucky or maybe not out too late.
