Curry stain on wooden spoon

As others have said - just save that particular spoon for curries, etc.
A new wooden spoon only costs about 30p

30p! 30p!! This lot could feed a family of four for a week on that!
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

Lemon juice might get rid of the smell but don't know about the yellow!!
My friend swears by bamboo spoons, apparently they don't stain.0 -
ONLY thing I find gets rid of curry stains apart from sunlight exposure (which can also remove colour and doesn't always remove it all) is a degreasing spray I got from a £1 shop. Elbow Grease Degreaser. There is a few versions different brand degreasers, usually yellow in colour. Spray on and it turns red/brown then wipes off......found by accident and used it lots since!
Oh and I have a curry spoon, it's yellow on the end but I only use it for curriesOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -

I've got a wooden spoon that I've had for at least 15 years. It's stirred curries, chutneys, piccallili, as well as casseroles and soups. I love the patina it's picked up.
I cannot imagine why you'd throw out a spoon just because it has a stain. It won't taint the food.0
