I would contact they company by telephone immediatly as this is a serious health issue and they may need to recall items.

Well, if this thread runs true to form every man and his dog will be along in a minute to say 'get a life, you didn't come to any harm, what do you expect, you are trying to rip the manuafacturer off, you are just after compo etc etc etc !!!'

Load of old cobblers in my humble opinion ! Something has gone wrong in the manufacturing process or handling process and you should let the company know about it. OK , so nothing is perfect and accidents like this do happen from time to time and, as you didn't actually suffer/incurr a loss, you can't really expect an enormous payback. However, the company would probably welcome your feedback and the chance to investigate what went wrong before anything more serious happens. At the very least you should get an explanation, an apology and some sort of 'sweetener' to encourage you to continue buying their product.

I wouldn't be too hard on them though, just explain the facts and ask what they are going to do about it. (and don't get upset if other people on here now start slating you for being greedy!)

  • Any proof the glass was in the bottle when purchased?

One would suggest its highly suspicous that you could drink it all without getting injured if it was

As for what to ask for. Nothing. You consumed the goods with no harm. Simply make them aware of the situation if it really did happen.

In bottling plants, sometimes on the conveyor the pressure will cause a glass to shatter (very rare), which usually resorts in the line being stopped, and everything in that section cleared.

You need to contact the drink manufacturer (get their email from their web page) and highlight the problem immediately. Tell them the batch information from the bottle, and they might have to use this to issue a recall, or at least use it to check the log book for any incident that happened that day.

They'll usually thank you with some vouchers!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
