Surely it depends on your business and what they're doing for you? Ours is local, which makes dropping off a box full of cheque book stubs, receipt books, pay records, receipts etc a lot easier than trusting them to the post!
I prefer to deal face to face, but I'm old-fashioned.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Agree with Savvy_Sue ... it depends on what you want your accountant to do.
In my case, I do my own bookeeping and prepare my own accounts. So my accountant really just signs them off, but will sometimes claim for some expenses that I didn't and/or increase what I have claimed for.
I could easily deal with my accountant via email - especially as I use Sage and I can email my Sage file to my accountant. She corrects it and sends it back!
So .... what do you want your accountant to do?Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0
