Well we wont have masses of grass to do once one half is decked so something that won't fall apart but nothing to pricey as wont get the use.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago and it's fantastic:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Qualcast-Panther-Sidewheel-Cylinder-mower/dp/B00027YJAI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=diy&qid=1242077196&sr=8-1

Miles better than the two electrics I had, just as fast and no messing with cables. Comes with a grass box but admittedly I've not used it as I tend to just let the clippings lie if they're not too long.

Edited to add: Only drawback is that it's not great around the edges, but then I don't think cylinder mowers are in general.

1/2 dozen guinea pigs. They will eat their way through loads of green grass and release brown little pellets that will fertilise the lot. DO you know of any lawn mower you can then roast on the BBQ and eat???

think i will buy one of these i never get the LM out because of all the leads etc so this will be ideal. someone offered me a large petrol strimmer for £30.00 so this would do the edges thanks

Thankd for the replys..hmm seen those but not convinced they work well will have a think now you have said they are ok! The reason for wanting it is that the bunny gets straw all over the garden and it is very hard to clear up so was wondering if this would help..would this mower do the job? not talking loads but it would make the garden look neater..
Mr warren i really don't know what to say to you..apart from poss to go and see the men in white coats?!

The one I actually bought was the 38cm version when it was on offer at £38 at B&Q recently (now£48). I was surprised at how good it was and don't see why that should deteriorate as long as the blades are sharpened occasionally. Read the reviews on the Amazon site as that was what made my mind up (instead of spending hundreds on a petrol mower!).

i borrowed a neighbours one of those and couldnt get on with it.
it didnt turn going forwards, just made a horrible noise, only turned when using it backwards so needless to say it was useless.
their strimmer however worked a treat, and cheaper.

if in doubt, use a strimmer and a rake!
