Holidays booked. com - be careful

Just got back from a week in Madeira organised by Holidays Booked who are an internet only agency.
Flights were with Easyjet, part of our e payment went to them directly and there were no problems with them at all.
Our hotel however was switched from the very nice 4 star in Funchal that we booked to a not so nice, (but still claiming to be a 4 star) hotel in the same Enotel group, in the middle of nowhere.
Hotels Booked did not give us any notification of this before we departed, else we would have tried to cancel the whole holiday and go somewhere else.
So,just be careful, we were not the only ones that this happened to.
We will probably take a small claims court action against them, but thats not really the point, we had been looking forward to this break, and the additional daily travel, lack of flexibility and poor hotel facilities put a bit of a downer over our break.
