Garmin Nuvi satnav, speed cameras

Hope someone can help, I've just bought a Satnav, it's working fine except that I can't get the speed camera warnings to operate. I've done everything in the instructions several times and downloaded the free trial database etc but nothing seems to help. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

What model? My Garmin Nuvi 250W came with speed cameras locations pre-loaded - no need to download anything. I just needed to go to Settings, Proximity Points, Proximity Alerts and tick the safety cameras to turn it on.

Thanks for your reply, mine is the 660 but the nuvi's are all similar. I've been through the same steps but got nothing (unless our 3 local cameras are not registered) Also read that the warning only operates when I'm 5mph under the limit, or over it. So have driven past cameras at the appropriate speed- nothing. Another forum advised me to download from Garmin, but that hasn't helped. I think I may have deleted the database as part of the download process, but not knowingly. Thanks again, at least I know now that what I did originally was correct.
