Anybody Here Commute into London From Stamford or St Neots?
I was just wondering how busy the trains were morning and evening and how much of a pain it is? I've heard that the FCC trains from St Neots can get rammed for the evening trip back from Kings X but wasn't sure if that info was out of date or not.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

Hello!
I get the London train from Arlesey to Stevenage every monday and tuesday, this is a couple of stops down from st Neots..!
If you get the train at st neots you can get a fast one that misses most of the little stations.. I'd definitly recommend this as the ones that stop at the little ones are horrendous!!
I caught a slow one from Arlesey and a friend got one from st Neots to London a while back as we had a meeting in London, and they both got in at the same time, but I stood all the way, and he had a reasonably empty train!
The evenings are very full.. again I have never caught the fast train as it doesn't stop at my station.. but getting on at Stevenage I very rarely get a seat, and there are at least 5 people standing in the door way.. and this is after what seems like hundreds have got off at Stevenage.
If you are considering working in London, make sure you are getting paid enough to do it.. as personally I hate the trains during rush hour, and would NEVER work in london because of this..!
They get very very hot and smelly when they are crammed full of people.. and 45mins like that just isn't worth it!
Hope this helps!0 -
Many thanks for that.
So FCC haven't entered the 21st Centrury yet with air con?!0 -
:rotfl:Good grief no! Although the amount they charge you to use their trains I'd expect a personal cooling unit!0
