Restaurants on Isle of Wight

Hi all,

Thanks to Tesco vouchers, my OH & I have a 2 night break at the Ryde Castle on the IoW in June. Can anyone recommend a restaurant for the Saturday 20th and (more importantly because it's my birthday) the Sunday (21st).

We are staying in Ryde but do not mind travelling (by taxi).

try The Blue Crab in Yarmouth. Propper food... great stuff

If you get time pop down to shanklin old town and visit the Crab Inn. its a beautiful old inn that sell fresh crab sandwich for £6 and a Crab salad for £12 sounds expensive but they are beautiful and the crab is not covered in mayo.
There is plenty of room to sit inside or outside and they love children.

We visited the island last week the weather was so hot my OH got sunburn.
If shopping in sandown pop into FatHarrys fish and chips but only order a small portion of chips as you get ton's.
