Hi All,
I was curious to know if any mse'ers have either of these conditions and if so who do you use for Insurance?
My wife,34, has had an Ileostomy for 5 years, still has UC. Ever since she had the operation she has never needed any hospital treatment nor had any problems.
The last time we went on holiday we used Asda Insurance, paid £41.85. Had a new quote for £44.65. This is for a weeks holiday in Alicante. Is this about the norm? Can it be trimmed?
Obviously not everyone will be able to reply to this thread.
Thanks in Advance

Under 45 quid? Think yourself lucky, my wife & I are visiting the UK later this month, costing $ 300.00 for insurance for 2 weeks & 2 days!!! Back to your point see Marting insurance section he has some insurers that may help you.

Is there a patients group for people with the same condition as you, as they often have a scheme with a sympathtic Insurer. Try googling it, if they do not have a scheme for it they often have helpful advice for when you travel0

Travel Insurance does not automatically cover persons who have pre existing medical conditions and there is some confusion as to what constitutes a pre existing medical condition.0

Few more, make sure you read their hidden small print loop holes get out clause, before you put your hand in your pocket, because these little words may later come to haunt you.
Have a good holiday

Cheers Pedro,
Had a look on the IA forum and a few people recommended Club Direct Insurance. Gave them a call and they gladly covered my wife's condition(s). Pretty reasonable too, came in at just under £30.
Here's the link if anyone is interested :- http://www.clubdirect.com/pre-existing-medical-conditions-travel-insurance.cfm

All Clear endorsed by Pedro...that is a recommendation.
When are you taking over from Michael Winner on the esure adverts? I can just imagine the advert...Hi I'm Pedro and I insure with Esure because they are less corrupt and bad at paying claims than the other Insurers
lol0 -
