Also how do you get this 'cash back' is it paid to your card, bank account or do you have to claim it? I've always held back joining any of these things, I've heard people on here talking about things called quidco etc but I've no idea what they are or how to use them I'm not sure I trust them and I don't want to give them my cc details.

OK call me thick but I still don't understand how this works. Who do you pay the money to the AA or FATCHEESE? How do this company make any money if they give it all back, there's no such thing as a free lunch so there must be a catch somewhere?
they are the same as cbk, quidco, tcb etc...Bit of a Florida Fan :j

you are paying the retailer themselves the same as if you had gone direct to the site except instead of google or pricerunner etc getting the referral fee.. you get it..
you can request cashout via cheque, bacs, paypal or vouchers depending on the cashback site.Bit of a Florida Fan :j

I'm still not convinced I'm a bit of an old stick in the mud don't like the sound of it and I went on the daily clicks thing and you have to click on about 30 sites to earn 75p and sit and surf on stuff you've no interest in seems a waste of time to me and I don't understand the AA thing, it doesn't say anywhere on the AA site that you will get the £29 back and what it you want roadside etc which is usually what people need the most in case of motorway breakdown, is it still 'free' then. I really don't understand all this, I don't need the AA I was just attracted by the notion something was free. I'll stay back in the dinosaur cupboard lol oh and I've never heard of cbk and tcb eek.

I use Topcashback and Quidco. With Topcashback I have earnt £598 and with Quidco I've earnt £1100. It really is very simple, you click on the retailer you want to buy something from, for example Debenhams, you go through to the retailer's site but it is tracked that you went through the cashback site. You place your order with Debenhams, you pay for it and 4% is paid to the cashback site you used, this money is then deposited into your cashback account. With Topcashback you can claim the money when you want to, or with Quidco they pay the money to you at the end of each month. I get the money paid into my bank account as it is handy when I am getting close to going overdrawn. Would recommend them as they give you money for things you would buy anyway. I find them really good for insurance, I got £90 for using Lloyds home insurance and they were the cheapest anyway.0 -

it wont say on the aa website and if you were to call and ask an employee they would likely have no clue what you were on about... however they have a marketing team that have budgets to generate new business.. and they arrange these deals via an affiliate company like tradedouber or commision junction. the aa pay the affiliate company the affiliate company pay the cashback site and they then pay you.:beer:Bit of a Florida Fan :j

I took out my AA policy with this on Monday morning at around 1am and it showed up Tuesday under pending on Fatcheese.
Seems efficient so far!0 -

Ah OK so really you are saving that money yeah? Because you would've spent it anyway but then you get it back so it's a kind of saving rather than extra money earned on top of your salary. If it was earned rather than saved surely the tax man would be after us?
Also do you have a link to these two sites?

Sorry could you tell me what actually 'showed up'? What happened did they email you, you had to go to the website? I'm just interested as my daughter could do with the AA but she would need motorway relay so probably can't get this free deal.
