Have I made a mistake? Thomas Cook Cash Passport

Changed some money over at the weekend for our trip to Florida and the lady in TC suggested this card rather than travellers cheques as it was more convenient and you can use it everywhere.

Upon speaking to a friend he said that he travelled around America and took one of these and hardly anywhere accepted it:rolleyes:...

I would like to know firstly whether lots of places accept it in Florida or whether I would be better changing it to Travellers cheques or dollars???

Help!

Dont know about the card particularly, but you certainly shouldnt have any problems with US $ travellers cheques, and definately none for cash !

Also meant to say, what were you charged for the card ?

That might make the difference between swapping back and not swapping back, if you get me.

We weren't charged anything for the card, and got a rate of 1.465
