Hey kath!

When I asked what your story was, I didn't mean your life story! I've printed it off and will read a page a day! Should only take me a couple of weeks!
I did however notice one thing that was missing! There was no mention of buying car mats! Or is that just me?
:rotfl:
It was a great post by the way. Very open and honest. Well done! :T
I think alot of people spend to fill a "void" in their life or something similar. Most people assume its a "must have now" mentality! OK, so most of it probably was that for me but I'm a firm believer on alot of it being psychological (sp) but I won't bore you all with it!
Thanks for posting!

Heyhey! I wondered when you'd turn up and the :rotfl: could begin!
Try reading before bed time, guaranteed to send you to sleep! I think the car mats will have to feature heavily in volume 2.... will get writing.... :rotfl:
Just kidding, will give you a few weeks to finish this one first!
I think spending is quite a lot to do with filling a void for many people, even the "must have now" culture often translates into "because I deserve it", meaning "because then I will feel worth something". Didn't mean to lumber everyone with emotional rubbish in my story, just got writing and thats what came out!!Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Well I personally think this board stands out from all the rest because people are so open, honest and sincere and I think that can only be a good thing, so don't worry about limbering people!
But to be fair "I did deserve it"! All £34,000+ of it!

Good evening
I was really pleased to log on this evening and the first message I opened was yours kathfisch. I had seen southernscouser's request for your story and I've been keeping an eye out for it
It was most definitely worth the wait! You are a great example of someone that could have gone too far but learnt their lesson before it was too late. Hope that makes sense. Wish I was more like you when I was 22.
One thing I'd like to say is that although we are/have been in different levels of debt, we are all here for a common purpose and that's what unites us. It doesn't matter if my debt is a lot more or a lot less than someone elses. At the end of the day, we are all achieving what we set out to do. In your case, you have already achieved the right attitude to money and for that, I applaud you :T
Look forward to reading more posts from you
Best of luck with pursuing your career

:rotfl:
I'm sure you did, every penny! And I mean that with no sarcasm
, so hard to tell tone of voice on here
Thing is now you probably appreciate every penny so much more since you are having to pay it all back (and then some). I think everyone on here gradually works towards a situation where they gain self esteem and pleasure from not spending, they "deserve" not to be in debt. This is certainly how it feels for me.
I agree, this board is fab! I would never post 99% of what I wrote in any other forum but here there is such a supportive atmosphere that I feel I can, how great is that!Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs.
