My dad has arrived and is insisting on doing some gardening despite the fact that it's still very wet (although not raining) and windy, and that one of the neighbours has clearly just sprayed weed/moss killer which due to the wind mostly appears to be in the air!

I've got a lovely new ironing board cover which my mum ordered for me from lakeland!

    Afternoon everyone.

Just spent a while catching up with the last couple of pages of the thread.

iriedaughter you sound like a wonderwoman to me. I've been working from getting the kids in bed 8ish to about midnightish on school work and i haven't got nowhere near as much of it to do as you, and i am so exhausted from only being back at work this half term i am already ill. I take my hat off to you.

Gratefulfor help i've been using some of the powerpoints you sent me and it has been going down really well, also your tips of what to stress to my y11s. Thank you again for all your help.

soappie definitely too late, but hope you have a good holiday.

toots when you get back sweetie, i am thinking of you too and hoping you are feeling better real soon.

I had Friday off work and in my head was going to do a few bits and work through the illness but i was so tired i spent most of the day on the settee. I am only marginally better today, but i think a bit more sleep and i could crack it. I'm going to have to go into work on Monday anyhow with it being last week of half term as my y11s leave on Friday for study leave, and i want to get my y10s module finished so we can just revise after half term. A busy time of year.

Today, i have managed a few bits but not a lot. DH was working last night and got in at 5:45 and woke up DS2 who in turn woke up DS1 so i had to get up. We slobbed till about 10:30 when DH got up.

    I've:
    • done supermarket shop and put away
    • prepped veg for dinner
    • emptied bin in kitchen
    • cleaned outside of the back door as a bird had pooped on it
I do need to spur myself on after we eat dinner with the kids in a bit, as the in-laws visit is tomorrow. Thankfully they are taking us out for lunch so not here long, but we need to have space for them to get in, and they will want to use the loo i imagine, so i need to sort the bathroom and living room at least. Whole house has degraded to pig sty status again within a few days. I can't seem to keep all the balls in the air.

Doesn't help that DS2 is trying to walk, so i have to make sure i am there when he is pulling himself up so he is safe, and also make sure DS1 doesn't push him over. He has been playing with his toys on the coffee table so the LO can't reach, and now he can. All good fun honestly.

Anyway, off to finish sorting dinner, and see what else i can manage.

Just stopped now from my HHC Juliejim and rach so a long one but Valli I have now finished all five stars for this week. Note to myself - never ever leave it all to be done on a saturday again .

Sunnygirl - best of luck for tomorrow. I got some new running shoes today as a reward for sticking to my running and they are lovely :T.

Swinstie - I have to admit started off as a 10 and let it slip over a few years, then had two children in 16 months which didn't help at all. I am running using couch to to 5k podcasts, and have just joined fat club for the first time. It was action now or a size 18 :o.

Mine does that too! But it is only 5 miles to the co-op from here. Don't they understand that the 10p they save on the bag of bread is lost because the petrol costs more.
Exactly! He was very surprised to find the traffic was awful and the supermarket was packed! Apparently the fact that he went Saturday lunch time didn't make him realise that it would be busy! He came back with loads of stuff that we don't need  Oh well it made him happy!

Have had a lovely nap this afternoon.

I normally swap HHI for HH Sew because I hate sewing, but could I swap it this week for HH Knit which I love? My reasoning is that some people (Valli) love ironing so would it be alright for one week to spend the time doing something enjoyable?
