DDB hope your Dad is better soon, very worrying for you
LL will be thinking of you on Friday
jjef happy anniversary, hope you manage to get dinner at a reasonable time
mummyyof5, get in touch with your local Parent Partnership and the connexions office. Under the DDA they would be unable to disqualify her if the issues are related DIRECTLY to her disability ;) just something to keep in ammo box for later. If the school 'recognise' it or not is up to them, but they can't ignore the law. Is she under CAHMS? Would it be worth a referral if she isn't. School really need to give their heads a shake. I am so useless with geography but there is a list here http://www.addforums.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-9537.html of ADHD support groups. Also most Carer's Centres have a support worker for parents of children with special needs.
Toots thinking of you, hope you feel better soon
    emily pleased to hear that
Rach, well done you for passing the flying on. Maybe you can share them with us :D haha. Pleased to hear you have had a lovely time.
Crafty Scholar, hope you feel better soon
rosepink I HATE cleaning microwaves but steam does help :D make sure you do the 'roof' of it, yak mines forever getting vile.
AnW'sMum well done with the ironing :D
LilySue try typing it in word pad then copy/paste it in, much less frustrating. With the pan, maybe see if you can pick up second hand one on ebay or ask on Freecycle....I know if I had one and it broke I'd keep the pan etc.

Hello everyone :) Hope you are all well. I have still got no proper voice. Went shopping yesterday as had vouchers for BHS and Evans I needed to spend, needed PJs for me and clothes/PJs for DS2 to take on his cub trip.

I am supposed to be at a meeting this afternoon, unsure if I will go. See how I feel later on. Cubs and swimming dash about tonight, as usual. Not managed any list apart from the kitchen this week. Think I will try to get the living room done and the bathroom today.
One day I might be more organised...........

I'm new and only started this week so I'm only aiming for Level 1 :) Which so far I have been managing :D Yay If I can fit something from a different level in I'm trying as well, I want the star :) My Mum now understands that this is just something I need to do and she was telling me the other night to get my a*se off skype and go do my kitchen!!! :rotfl: Didn't manage to get anything done last night though as DH came home so just enjoyed cuddling up on sofa watching some TV (shattered now though as didn't go to bed till late!!!) Hopefully get a few of the other levels finished over weekend :)

embb hope you enjoy your new bundle of joy :) I have 2, DH bought them to cheer me up after I moved up here to be with him, to help with me being on my own when he goes away every other week. They used to sit on my shoulder's as well, one on each!! But they're too big for that now. Definitely full of mischief though.

Hugs for all who need them, pigpen, toots (and those I've forgotten I'm sorry, I've only flicked through thread while at work :o)

Hi all, sorry for being awol so long - lots going on, and my house is suffering for it. I guess it reflects my current state of mind! I am feeling really disheartened at the moment. After 2 weeks of waiting to hear back from a job I really wanted, with some Directors fighting my corner, I heard yesterday that whilst they were impressed and wanted to employ me, they felt the job couldn't offer me enough. The gutting thing is they haven't got anyone else for the post - so I was only up against myself!! I feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall, and don't know what to do. I seem to be in the middle ground - overqualified for middle management, but not experienced enough for senior management! I was so upset yesterday. I know that my situation hasn't changed, and I am no worse off than before, but I still feel as if I am constantly battling, and I don't know how long I can keep fighting.

So, I am back here to pick myself up. I need to do a reverse tornado clean and tidy through out the whole house (I know, baby steps, but I need to get everything done TODAY to stay sane!). With it all clean and fresh, I hope to get a bit of perspective, and maybe some fresh ideas as to where to go from here. I have to be careful that I don't spiral back into depression, as I can feel it beckoning.

I appreciate that there are others with much larger real problems, and mine are none-existent in comparison. I am sorry for the outpouring, especially mid week (*begs forgiveness from Our Illustrious Leader*), but it has helped!

So now, I'm off to get it all done. Starting with the kitchen.

I haven't caught up with the thread - but when I last popped in, Toots was starting treatment, I think?? I hope it is all going well - thanks for the lovely e-mails Toots - they make me laugh! I hope Philb is doing well, and Rosepink, and all of you lovely ladies and gents.

Big hugs to you all, will check in later!!

I've wrapped and printed postage for my two parcels and have also added more books to my book swap profile. I need to shift myself after I've finished the programme I'm watching as I need to set off in about 90 mins to meet DH in London as we're going to the opera tonight and are having an afternoon in town first.
