    :j:j:jWED LIST ALL DONE:j:j:j

I am so upset DD2 was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 3 she had help during Infant and Junior school but Secondary school dont even recognise it,hence she has been constantly in trouble for the past 4 years(nothing that bad just refusing to conform to the uniform, turning up late for lessons, refusing to work for 1 particular teacher who she hated, but they wouldnt move her to another class)
Yesterday was the worst ever, she was reported for having a mobile phone during her RE exam,I dont think for a moment it was to cheat, that wouldnt even have occured to her,she just does these things to flout authority,if they had asked her nicely she would have given her phone up but as it was an order she kept it in her pocket
I have been told the worst case scenario is she will be unable to take any of her GCSE exams, which means she will be unable to take up her place at college.
I dont really know if there is anything I can do.

Sorry to waffle but OH is away on tour and I have no-one else to talk to.

oh mummyyof5 I don't know what to say ... can you make an appointment with her head of year/student support and discuss it further, rather than leave it?

Hi Valli,Yes I saw her headteacher straight away yesterday she isnt very nice to be honest I dont think it helps that Megan has been in trouble before she wouldnt give her the time of day just insisted she had used the phone to cheat ( despite everything it wouldnt occur to her to cheat)

She was more concerned that she will have to fill forms out for the other students that may have been disturbed by the phone apparently vibrating (another teacher looked through the phone and there is no record she recieved any calls etc during the exam)

The worst thing is I have discussed this with her and she still cant understand what the problem is,she really believes it is a big fuss over nothing.

gathered contents of bins (bathroom; DS room and DD room) by back door as it's bin day tomorrow - I don't have a bin in my bedroom because I am, despite my great age, perfectly capable of carrying detritis from my room to a room in which there is a bin AND also able to deposit said detritis IN bin as opposed to IN VICINITY of bin.
This is clearly an age related skill...

Definitly age related - my lot are still at the toddler stage when it comes to that, knocking over and spilling contents most of the time... ;)

DayDreamBeliever - hugs to you and your dad - hope he is able to make a full recovery now :A

Pigpen, glad to see you are posting - hope the antibugs kick in soon, even if they do have to up them to stronger ones - although you may have got away with them if you had gone earlier... ****runs off quick before pigpen throws something**** :A

Toots - ~~~~~MASSIVE BIG HUGS AND GET WELL SOON VIBES TO YOU HONEY~~~~~ hopefully your imune system will start repairing itself soon and you can get back on your feet x x:A

And hugs to anyone else that needs them too. :A

MOJ2 - Hugs to you too, I think you have made the right decision as long as he sticks to his word and they act like friends in front of them. If this is going to be a long term thing, the children might find it easier to accept when they finally find out the truth if they have met her a few times IYKWIM. How you fixed tomorrow - are you free for coffee? I won't promise anything yet, but I will text you later if it is looking good - maybe you could come over here? ;)

Mummyof5 - You need to speak to someone in the school that you get on with and understands your DD. My DS has the same thing, the trouble is, loads of kids do now and at senior school they expect them to be able to cope on their meds - they don't but with so many kids playing up, how do they tell who's who now? (not making excuses for them, it annoys me too). Anyway, I speak to about 2 teachers at his school ALL the time (this lot will tell you some of the tears I have had on here) as they know my DS, they like him and they know he is a good kid at heart, just a PITA - if you have someone like that, call them and ask to see them and go sit down and they will put your mind at rest one way or another. It will be down to the school to decide whether they thought she was cheating or not so whoever you can get on your side, get them on it. Just don't loose your cool and see what they can do for you. I hope you can get it sorted, My DS was sent home on study leave about 3 months ago because of his behaviour, he needs to pass to get to college too so fingers crossed for both of them - hugs hon :A (sorry if that was a bit rambly, typing too quickly to think ;):rotfl:)

Not caught up at all as we have been manic here - you would be very proud of me. Have now emptied DD's room (it can now be called DD's room as I have taken all my stuff out ;)), I have thrown copious amounts of mags and stuff (QUICK QUESTION - they are house mags and are still in good condition but are from 2008 - do you think Hospitals or anywhere would still want them?) and now only have a small pile at the bottom of my bed to be put away, but I physically couldn't move last night when I fell into bed as we had been humping chest of draws, cabinets, books, folders, and an antique chest that is about 4ft tall and wide and was FULL. My lovely DD cooked dinner last night - minted lamb chops with mash & beans - and that went down a treat, so at least I could get on. I am determined to finish today, so my list now looks like this (I will cross off what I have already done)

Flower-tomorrow sounds good. DD have sent DD to playschool today so hope she feels ok (she wanted to go). DD should be at playschool 9-11.30 and DS 9-3 :D

Re the magazine I once asked at my doctors surgery about some magazine. I had some new Mother and Baby mags and they said they couldn't accept them

Mummy of 5 ~ Hugs, I understand, my middle ds has ADHD....one of the reasons I wasn't on here last week as I was up and down the school, plus seeing the police , because he lent his mobile phone to one of the school badboys, who made hoax phone calls saying he was going to burn the school down. Luckily for us, the school likes and knows my son well and saw him as the unwise innocent party in this.
A big part of ADHD seems to be poor impulse control and not thinking through what you are doing, I'm sorry that your dd's teachers seem so ignorant of this condition. Like Flyladyflower I'm wondering if there is a supportive teacher or special needs teacher at the school who does understand dd's problems and would be willing to vouch for her? Hang in there on this one, I'm rooting for her and all of our ADHD kids.

I'm waiting for my Sainsbury's home delivery and then will be getting on with my lists for today.
