Morning all, sorry not caught up completely altho did laugh at Justamum's description of the apple breaking, arm wrestling dad, he sounds great! Bet DS is well cool now!

I'm off to me mum's this morning, better get a move on and get dressed. I really want to do some bits in the village on the way, but think I might have left it too late as I couldn't get going this morning :o as I had a really bad nights sleep. I've got to be there by 10, she lives 45 mins away, got to get dressed...not a lot of time to go to the post office, go to the doctors to put in for prescription, go to the library, go to the chemist. Have to do it on the way home  Might be able to go to recycling place tho so that will be some stuff decluttered!

See you all this afternoon, happy flying!

Morning All, very wet & miserable here today!

I have one load of washing in the machine which will have to be dried indoors.
    HHI done
    Washing up done
    Recycling put out

I must remember not to eat anything after 11am..........I have to go for my big full body CT scan this evening..5-8pm. I am really nervous, not only about having the scan but more importantly the results, I am praying they don't find the cancer anywhere else.....the regime involves 3 monthly scans so that any 'nasties' can be detected & dealt with appropriatley.

pigpen & toots my thoughts are with you both xx

    Has anyone heard from emily?

Going to potter now, try & keep my mind busy

    xx

What a miserable day... I've been to the gym, and now I have until 4 o'clock to get myself sorted out, and then I'm off to the school to see the admin office, followed by a finance committee meeting, and then a full governing body meeting. Who says my life isn't exciting :p

I supposed I'd better start by putting away all the stuff in the airing cupboard to make room for the ironing.

But first... better make a call to see whether my plumbing and drains cover will come out and work out what the noise is, and why I'm getting airlocks in all the cold taps (which all run off the rising main )

LL I really hope the scan goes well for you, will be thinking about you ~find nothing nasty~ vibes coming your way. Whilst it must be terrifying at the moment I do think the positive thing is that you will be checked on a regular basis for a long time and any treatment will be that more effective as it is being given earlier. My Dad is going for his regular check today, he has been symptom free for over 5 years but still gets 6 monthly checks. HTH

Changed and re made DS4 bed - put winter sheets on :)

I've got a 9 tog duvet in the cover, but as it's still cold I've got a 13.5 tog laid on the top of it! Lovely and cosy :D Sadly it's supposed to be almost summer  Oh well, at least it shows I'm not going through the menopause yet - no night sweats etc. DH is going to hate it when I do, and only want light covering, because he hasn't acclimatised to the cold yet after all these years.

Denise NZ - 'check the Sallies' I'm guessing this Kiwi speak for something but I don't know what - could you translate please?

Sallies is Salvation Army I presume. I thought everyone called it the Sally Army?:D

Wow that's a fab tree house, I could quite happily live in that :D

Good Luck with the scan LL (((((hugs))))) ~~find nothing nasty~~ vibes from me too xx

Hoovered through, phoned building control and got permission to knock the internal wall down between kitchen & dining room yay! Trying to think what other jobs I've been putting off that I can do...not enough time to paint the utility unfortunately, cause surprisingly, I'm 'in the mood' typical! lol

I know! I'll go and sort littleys pile of clean washing and see what I can get away with NOT ironing...

Somehow I'm always surprised when things actually work out! I wasn't expecting anyone to come out today to look at the plumbing, but apparently they are going to!
