I am ok.. I actually think in addition to the muscle pain I have a kidney infection.. somewhat self-inflicted so no sympathy needed but it is feeling a tiny bit better today thank goodness!!

We are now going to nag you big time. Get yourself hence to a doctor woman! Failing that, drink lots and lots and lots of water to flush the bad guys out of your kidneys.

As it took me a while to finish my kitchen list, I'm updating it a bit:

Measly Monday - Kitchen and utility room
    Level One
    Clear and wipe worksurfaces
Scrub down the front of units and large appliances
    Level Two
    Wipe plinths & skirting
Clean oven and hob and cooker hood
    Wash main window and sill
    Level Three
    Clear and wipe the table
    Sweep and mop the floor
Wash the tiles, sockets & switches

    Extras
    1. Clear remaining stuff from dresser
    2. Wipe and water plants
    3. Wash down kitchen door and polish the glass
    4. Clean curtain poles, curtains and blinds
    And of course...

    Update CV
    Apply for jobs...

Pigpen - kidney infection - I juice frozen cranberries, and drink (diluted) unsweetened. Also try potassium citrate (the liquid works best) - you can get it over the counter as cymalon. You need to knock it on the head before it starts causing muscle pain. The doctor will give you antibiotics, and this is one of the things that they are very effective for, so overcome your dislike and book yourself an appointment.

I have a really irrational and freaky fear of water pipes so wont be able to do under the sink (because I can see the pipes from the sink and I may inadvertantly touch it and freak out!) so I am hopefully going to convince OH to do it for me - but we shall see how successful I am at that one!

    Hugs for all - Im off to bed x x x x

I am in again this week. Thanks pigpen and toots for the lists. Hope you are both feeling better.

I have had a hectic last fortnight trying to stay on top of things. DS has had his assessment with the language people and he is not as bad as I had feared. He does have the letter sounds expected at his age except for one or two but struggle with pronouncing new words as his hearing wasn’t good. Hopefully that’ll sort itself out as he has had his op to put in grommets and remove his adenoids. The op went well but as usual he was in the 1% rather than the norm and bled a little bit. His hearing has improved as he has stopped saying ‘what, what, what, pardon?’ all the time. His snoring however hasn’t and he still stops breathing for half a min or so and wakes up gasping. So still broken sleep for me when I do manage to get to bed. Although I am glad that his hearing is sorted I can’t help feeling disappointed over the snoring as he sounds like a cheap vacuum cleaner from just before he falls asleep to when he wakes up (except for the bits where he’s not breathing at all.)

DD has started walking adding to the nightmare. I have had to leave loads until after her bedtime due to the need for increased supervision. This has pushed my bedtime later and later. At least when she was cruising I could get on with stuff in the kitchen while she played in the LR just poping around every so often to keep an eye. On the plus side I have been declutting the floor downstairs daily to reduce the falling over (not helped by DS running about wildly as he had been off school since before easter hols.). DH took her to weigh her before she looses any weight. She is 10 m and still under 8kg wearing mostly 3-6 m clothes.

I need to get control of my landfill again. I have been making inroads into the junk but far too slowly to notice progress. When I am on here I am constantly noticing my tiny steps and not getting discouraged. Thanks for being here everyone.

This week I have yr 8 reports due and yr 10 maths and statistics morks to mark so I can’t really hope for more than level 1 but I will try for a kitchen star.

Off now to mop kitchen floor, HHI then bed.

    Getting there irie.
