Sterling travellers cheques

Sorry if this has been answered before but I am going to Tenerife in June and was going to get some euros and then euro travellers cheques but someone told me to get sterling travellers cheques, which would be best?

Why use travellers cheques at all? They are so out of date and unnecessary, especially in the Eurozone.

Best plan is to use ATMs in tenerife for your Euros. Get a Nationwide Flexaccount to minimise costs and get a far better exchange rate.

No need to tell the N/W you are going abroad. It states this on their website.

If you do decide to go with TC's then definitely sterling one and not euro TC's as they charge commision on euro cheques.
