Can someone recommend a good free service/stream for following uk or usa share prices? Which ones should be avoided?

    This question comes up a lot, for US you might try yahoo finance, I have not compared it to my feed, but they claim it is real time.

    provide free live prices for uk shares, beware most other sites are 15 min delayed.

    I use google finance or yahoo finance. Just enter your share into the search box

    Yahoo and Google aren't live, they are 15 minute delayed for UK prices (though live for US prices).

    ADVFN and Moneyam are live streaming prices (except for indices), though you don't get much time for free on ADVFN before being timed out; Shareprice is a new one on me, I'll have to take a look.

    Looks as though www.shareprice.co.uk is a 'work in progress'.

    The facility to make your own 'quick list' is still 'coming soon'. Might be one worth watching for the future, though.

    ADVFN share quotes and Monitor prices are live, to the second. It's only indices (for whatever reason) that are delayed.
