Expired Dividend Cheques

Had a clear out here and am very ashamed to say that I have found 8 dividend cheques that have expired (1 was issued 7 years ago!!). Whilst the individual amounts are not great, they do total around £74 so I'm going to send them back and see what happens. They are all related to dividends received from my Friends Provident share. :o

If the company is still trading then you should be issued with duplicate cheques but they might charge an administration fee.

I've found some do, some don't. Charge a fee that is.

Could you not ask them to resend as a BACS payment.
It should be cheaper (if not free), and no paying in cheques etc.

If it is any help, I used to work for the registrars (people that issue div cheques) and they do charge for replacements, can't remember off the top of my head what the charge is though.

Well I had a look on Google and I saw mention of a charge but that was only for cheques in excess of £50 although I guess that different registrars may have different rules.
