Best place to buy a mid-range decent 8x10 shed?

Hi, we are converting our garage into a room and require a shed for the back garden. This will be used for the bits we normally store in the garage and a small work area for the OH to play with his tools and bits of wood, sorry, I mean, carry out his DIY projects! ;)

We've just been to a local garage and shed place and looked at the various different types of shed available and found one at around £700. This is a tongue and groove, pre treated apex shed, 10x8, with double doors. They did have another one at around £550 with security windows but 10x7.

Can anyone recommend a place where we could find a decent shed online, maybe cheaper, or do these prices seem ok?

Thanks in advance........

I've just last week bought a 10x7 shed. Most decent shed companies will make up sheds to a required size. As I live in a terraced cottage & access to garden is limited to a few twists & turns through rooms, the panels of my shed were made smaller than usual to enable them to fit through the house.

I'd say the price of your shed is pretty good, but check what wood it's made of for quality. The shed I've just bought cost in the region of £1k all told, but got the better quality roofing, shed base, shelf installed, weather treated, old shed taken down & removed & installation of new shed.

Where abouts in the country are you? I got mine from a company in Kent.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

We bought a 10 x 6 shed recently from Wilko's and it was only £300

It was the budget range, but is okay for what we need. They did sell a normal (better quality?) one and it was more expensive.

Whilst be bought it from Wilko's, it was supplied and delivered by Waltons - highly recommended
