Seller refunded but have not collected item.

I bought a microwave off ebay and the seller sent the wrong item. They have issued me a full refund and said they would arrange for a courier to collect the item. This was 4 weeks ago now and no courier has arrived nor has the seller advised me when to expect collection. I have tried to contact the seller but he has ignored all my emails since refunding my money.
Does anyone know how long would I be expected to keep hold of the microwave awaiting a courier?

How much did you pay for the oven? I'm thinking that if it was one at the cheaper end of the market, it may have been more cost effective for the seller to refund and let you keep it, than arrange return, restock and resale.

I had a similar incident with some furniture. It sat in the garage for 8 months with numerous emails and promises of returned phone calls, before I ebay'd it again. At the time I remember somebody saying they only have 28 days to collect, but this may just have for unsolicited goods.

It was only about £30 so you're probably right about the cost effectiveness. I'm just not sure what to do with the stupid thing, I only live in a flat and there's not room to swing a cat let alone store ebayers stock for them. :rolleyes:
