Selling for the first time - help please

I have been sorting out my wardrobe and find that a lot of items of clothing do not fit me any more. I have sorted out some for charity shops but I would like to sell the rest on ebay, do new with tickets on and worn once clothing sell?
As I have about 50 items does it cost much to list them? I would be prepared for a low starting price and let them find their own level.
Also, how would be the best way to calculate the cost of postage?
I understand the need for honesty when listing the item and the only acceptance of Paypal as payment.
I am a buyer on ebay but this will be my first attempt at selling so any help would be great.

Some tips for new sellers here:

Private sellers can list items starting at 99p and below for free, however you do then run the risk of selling at that price.
As for postage, weigh your goods and the packaging together and then calculate postage using the Royal mail site.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Be very careful when calculating postage, I have bought a lot of clothing items from ebay and lots of sellers UNDERESTIMATE how much the postage would be. Just this week I bought two tops and seller charged me just £1.50 for postage which cost her £3.25.0

Take good Pictures!0

Look up the brands on ebay first some just don't sell no matter how new they are.
You'll need good pictures, accurate postage and something to package them in.0 -
Fold your clothes up and pop them individually on the kitchen scales. You can enter this weight on the Royal Mail website to get a price. Most items of clothing have to go through as a parcel. Make sure you add a little for packaging materials.
As to whether they'd sell or not, it usually depends on where they're from. If it isn't from a shop that people will search for (e.g Monsoon, Topshop), then it probably isn't going to get found.
It is against eBay's rules to put a brand/shop name in the title when it isn't actually from there - this is called keyword spamming, and will get your auction cancelled. Unless these are vintage or items that are in demand at the moment, then these might be better off going to the charity shop.
Make sure you fill up as much of your title as possible (without keyword spamming of course) putting as many descriptive words in as possible, e.g floral, chiffon, cotton etc.
And the last thing, if you have anything that you'd rather keep than go for 99p, then either keep it or start it at a higher price (unless you're sure that it will go for more than that, but eBay surprises you like that!)0 -
Thank you all for your tips.
So my plan is to weigh them first and decide what size bags to buy, then calculate P&P.
Check them over, write an honest but brief description including as much as I can in the title with as many as I can with a 99p starting price to see how they go.
Take a good photo of each one.
Finally list them, hope somebody likes them, bids on them and loves them, giving me positive feedback and I will do it all again with th better stuff.0 -
take good photos and describe as much as you can if the clothes have a design, print etc0
