Auction Removed - Already Paid & Received?

I was wondering if someone could assist with this query, as I'm completely perplexed.

I bought an item on ebay for £110. I paid for the item as soon as the auction ended & within 2 days the item appeared on my doorstep, as far as I am aware not a fake (however I cannot confirm this).

I have since received an email from ebay telling me that the auction has been removed & that I should not pay for the item, or if I already have that I should cancel the order. The problem is I have no idea why the auction was canceled & the used removed from ebay, as ebay will not disclose this information. The seller was relatively new (2 months old) but seemed to just be selling a lot of these items, with positive feedback on them all already.

As I do not want a fake, nor do I want a stolen item, however what I have paid for I have receieved... what shall I do?

You do absolutely nothing, you bought goods and have receievd them.

The seller may have been removed for a myriad of reasons, including late payment of fees or keyword spamming.

Forget it move on and enjoy your item.

Thanks soolin. I asked because I used ebay ~5 years ago and got scammed a couple of times, blocking their payments to me (lost out on ~£200) Then I had someone using my account to sell fake items. I've just got back onto ebay and I am now extra careful with people.

Ebay send out this stupid email , frightening the hell out of buyers , i had this after a payment card expired and had sent out all the items currently sold , this led to three chargebacks immediately from paypal , and as two cheaper items were sent unrecorded (about £10each ) i lost the money and items , I was totally unable to access my account to contact buyers to explain the situation ,
I think you should be able to access the basic communication part , (obviously not the selling part )of your account if this happens , as most buyers want to know what is happening ,
Yet another ill thought through ebay directive , with a one size fits all email! and it hardly inspires buyer confidence in the site when it happens
