    It does sound like a pickle. I'm not going to kick you while you were down: you know you shouldn't have given her access to your funds, but there's no point crying over spilt milk.

    It sounds though like you won't be able to claim for much of it, since you authorised it. The best you can do is take it on the chin and pay it - and perhaps negotiate with them for reduced payment.

    One thing I would say is: why on earth did you give her access? You could give her money without giving her access to your online banking?

    Tough one to call. It sounds like your mum has real issues...but if that were my family, I would be out of there.
