do yourself a favour and replace avg with something decent like avira anti-vir & pctools firewall (free) or kaspersky intenet security (paid)

AVG has a lower detection rate than Avira or Avast, and also uses more processor time in its scans. Therefore, it's worth using Avira antivir for antivirus, PC Tools firewall, and use Firefox as a browser, with NoScript and Web of Trust. That should keep you secure.

I use Kaspersky Internet Security. It is alot better then anything other i have used before. You can usually pick up a copy from shops for £25 with a 1 year subscription or buy it online.

I wouldnt ever PAY for AVG as the firewall is full of holes (eg, XPs firewall is actually far safer)
