Always been a named driver, which insurance will take this into account?
We have always only needed insurance for one car so its always been in my husbands name with me as a named driver. We have full no claim bonus but obviously that is in my husbands name. We are now going to get a car for my husband so he will obviously need to take the insurance to that car.
That leaves me needing to insure a car in my name too.
Are there any companys who take into account that I have been driving for nearly 20 years but not had insurance in my name.
I wanted to go through quidco for cashback but none of the companys I have tried have had an option to tell the above information to see if they take it into account.
Any recommendations?
Thanks

i believe direct line will but only if you have an existing policy with them , insurance isnt as expensive as you think ive only ever been a named driver but last year i got my own car + ins and it was only £20 dearer than my hubby who has had ins for 30 years. [im assuming you have a clean licence + no claims]This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Hi Chrissy thanks, yes I have a clean driving licence with no claims but there is quite a big increase when I put in my details as opposed to my husbands who has the no claims bonus.
Instead of doing the quote on the interenet via quidco maybe I should ring the companies direct.0 -
Try a local broker, you won't get quidco but it will probably be cheaper overall0
