With regards to text competitions have any of you received unwanted (charged) texts as a result?
I'd love to enter them, but am wary that'll my number will be passed on, and I'll get loads of texts that I'll be paying for.

Hi Mystic Charm, i have an old moby that i use just for text comps & have been entering lots of the ones posted by us all on the p/card/text comps for ages, can honestly say i've never had any, hth xxplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.

A couple of them do acknowledge your entry and say that if you don't wish to receive any texts from them just text back with STOP. I have done and never had any problems.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Hi all! I'm really new to all of this and I'm curious about 'Great Competitions'. I haven't been entering these as for some reason they just look spam-ridden...are they? Do you enter them? Thank you!!

As far as I'm aware the Great Competitions site is fine. Their comps are posted by Elver Man and he's a long time well respected member, so no problem there.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Great Competitions is a website/url used for a lot of magazines which do not have their own individual websites as they're too specialist - such as Classic Car, Practical Fishkeeping etc Al Mac Appreciation Society (AMAS) member # 6½
