Good afternoon all, have had a letter from my HR department at work, they want to obtain a medical report from my GP. Rang my boss as i thought they were trying to find a way of sacking me - but he said it is standard procedure. I said i had no idea i would be sick for this long and as i have something rare it is hard to tell as they don't know much about it.

Anyway i can view the report before they see it. No wins!!! xxx
    Hi Katie,

this is standard procedure with 'long term sick' but they can only pay SSP for up to 6 months I think then you need to claim it off the DHSS
