Manchester airport taxi pickup

I am ging to UK next month, usually get a hire car, but One car One has gone so instead we are borrowing a relatives car.

The relative will be working so we cant get picked up we need a taxi.

What is a realistic rate to pay for a taxi from Manchester airport to Middlewich which is approx 25 miles?

To find a taxi at your terminal:

Terminal 1: outside international Arrivals
Terminal 2: adjacent to Arrivals

There is a Taxi Bus service at the airport from all three terminals. These must be pre-booked and you can do this at the Airportcarz desk which is inside the arrivals area in all three terminals.

You may want to book your own local taxi. If you decide to do this then make sure you organise with your driver where he will pick you up as waiting restrictions are in operation. If you can, ask the drive to park in one of the car parks, then meet you in arrivals or at an agreed meeting point.
Manchester Airport Taxis are another good contact. They will meet you in arrivals with your name on one of their boards. They are situated at Manchester Airport but it is recommended to always book your taxi in advance if you can. The company is licensed by Manchester Airport plc. if you order your own taxi, get them to pick you up from the train station - this way you avoid having to pay the £2 (i think) barrier surcharge that they have at arrivals

It’s easy to take a taxi to Manchester Airport or arrange for one to collect you on arrival. Taxi ranks are to be found just outside all three Terminals, making it simple to find and arrange a cab.

The costs of the taxis outside the airport are much more expensive than those that you pre order.

Its a long time since we did that but i do believe that it will still be true. We had normally paid about 15pounds with a local firm and the same journey cost us 50pounds with a taxi from the rank.

Airport Carz inside the terminal building are cheaper than the taxis outside and their charges are set by reference to postcode areas.

If you phone them on 0161 4895577 they will tell you what the journey costs.

Edit - just to say I have no connection with the comany, other than as a satisfied customer!
