Where Can I get legal paper??

I need some legal paper for my printer as the software runs off an American product which requires this. It is a different size apparentely 8.5" x 14".

Any ideas??

Can't you just resize the existing document so it will print out on A4?

I think you'll struggle to source legal paper as I think it's essentially a US paper - you'll probably have to go to a specialist stationery supplier and even then, it won't be easy to find.

Your best bet is just to change the paper size in the software you're working with e.g. in Word, file, page setup, paper ... select A4.

Problem is it is not possible to tweek the software. It is the only downside to the software so I really want to use it.

When you print the document, do you get a print dialogue box? If so, does that have a "scaling" or "resize" option? If so, then use that to scale the document to A4 paper and print it out on A4.

I think you'll find it will print OK even without tweaking the settings as Legal paper is smaller than A4 (IIRC).

You might find some wasted space at the top, bottom or edges, but I think all the text should be there.

Odd that you can't tweak the paper size as the US uses at least two - Letter and Legal. Have you had a good hunt around in the settings?

I thought american quarto was 8 1/2 by 11 inches. Go to a local printer and see if they can cut you some down from a larger sheet size.you may even get a choice of paper weights.--its got to be cheaper than buying packs--if you cant get it let me know and I may be able to help. ;)

US 8½" x 11" paper is called Letter. Scarface has correctly identified their Legal paper size as 8½" x 14".

Where would we be without standards, eh?!

Thanks ,I stand corrected! I still think scarface should try a local printer though.
