Sacking your EA

Does anyone have any tips on how I should go about sacking my EA? Is a letter the normal thing to do and if so what should it say? I've got as far as something like: "as per our contract I am now terminating our contract with you". Any other thoughts? If it makes a difference we are going to put the house straight on with another agent.

    You are able to terminate your agreement with your estate agent after the contracted minimal period. You dont have to give reasons if you dont want to and you can instruct a new estate agent to begin marketing after the notice period specified in your contract. Tell the new ones what you didnt like about the first ones and get them to agree what they will do differently.
