Well here's something to add to my Money neutral fund, just been on Ciao and I had £23 to claim! Well happy about that as only had about £3 on there last week. £15 of it was for a test thing I did which was really complicated lol but worth the money. I should get the money next month along with the other £30 I have claimed from Daily Click sites. Will be a nice bonus as I have to pay out some towards my daughters trip to Thorpe Park later this month. OH is paying £50 towards it and I'll pay the rest out of my fund.

I agree - keep them separate. It's too easy to miss the money saving bits amongst the Christmas excitement if you mix them.

Just thought we might all like another little thing to focus on? Join in if you want to! Trying to get you to have a think about how you might keep away from the credit cards this Christmas (and other occasions)

How much more "cash value" do you need to get before the end of NOVEMBER 2009?
    Friends Birthday £20
    Mums Birthday £100
    Christmas £300
    =£420

Where do you think you will be buying Person X,Y,Z's presents from for Christmas or other?
    Play.com
    Amazon
    Argos
    HMV
    Marks and Spencer
    Tesco
    Other

How much can you realistically earn in points/vouchers for any of these places?
Play.com - Take advantage of bonus offer on credit card, buy all purchases with credit card to earn extra points. Realistically can have £20 by end of the year

Amazon - Spend 15mins on dooyoo each day, reading and rating reviews and writing a couple of reviews each week. Realistically can have £50 by the end of the year if I get good at writing reviews.

    Argos -
Currently have £10 on Nectar card. Will be buying any DIY things from homebase now as they do nectar points. Will buy all of my things from amazon through the nectar scheme. Realistically can have £15 by the end of the year.

    HMV -
Will absolutely nail Toluna, and make sure I earn the extra points needed for my £12 voucher by November. Realistically can have £12 by the end of the year.

    Tesco -
Currently have £4 in wine deals! Not a lot, but enough for a bottle of wine! :D Any ideas how to cheaply boost Tesco points? Realistically can have about £10 in deals.

    Marks and Spencer -
None really - do you know of anywhere that does M&S voucher for rewards?

Other - Ooh well that leaves about £300 to get..........hmm!

How do you intend to raise the extra cash?
I intend to do a big car boot sale in Septemeber. I have lost a lot of patience with eBay, so unless there is something on there that will 100% sell, I am not bothering. Currently have

Can you reduce the amount you are going to spend in any way?
I find this really difficult, as the gifts we give don't tend to be hand made, thoughtful scrapbooks have been done year on year. None of my friends appreciate hand made things either. I made something for one last year and she didn't even say thank you so must have hated it :( So I find it hard to buy things cheaply really. I always get the best deals, but whisky, clothes etc. is expensive!

Yes Furry, I miss Bingoports too, I have found I have an extra couple of hours each morning now though to do other things lol but miss the vouchers. Still can't complain too much as paid for OH's dvds for his birthday.

Thanks for the list of things to think about Jammy, I am sure I will have enough for the rest of the gifts for the year as I have nearly finished them (can't believe I have done so well). Am thinking that if I save some more money up by Xmas I will have a nice sum to look round the January sales with to give me a boost for mext year. I will definitely be making most of my presents again though as this has saved me loads of money.

Been sorting the gifts all out again this afternoon but will put about that on the other thread.
