I find Amazon very easy to sell on. You just put the title or barcode/ISBN number in and it brings it up for you, then you just put the price (it tells you what the cheapest price is at the mo) then a short description. It tells you upfront what fees you'll pay and how much you'll receive for each item. You get paid a set amount for postage, you just need to make sure the amount they pay you will definitely cover the postage.

I sold a sex and the city box set on there a while ago and they only gave me £1.99 postage (set amount for dvd's) and me being stupid didn't realise it would cost me quite a bit more to post it.

Some books only go for a penny though so you make your money off the postage.

Amazon pay the money straight into your bank, can't remember how often though but it's around every 2 weeks I think.

I joined celebdaq last night after seeing the thread in the arms and i'm hooked already! Been checking my portfolio all morning! I've made a loss of £69 so far! :rotfl: It's a shame you don't get any points or anything for that because I think it's good fun.

I really dont know what to do with myself now that bingoport has banned us :( what can i do that is fairly easy and has quick returns? i liked bingoport because you saw something within a week of doing it. Other sites that ive done you have to wait ages, for example yougov, ive been a member on there for years and have only got £10 on my account and you cant withdraw until you get £50 :(.

what page is the list of things to do on this thread? thanks

Ok this afternoon (in between hiding under the bed when the storms came! :rotfl:) I have made lists of all the things I have to sell and taken pictures of them.

I tried to list books on Amazon but for some reason my account is suspended  So i've emailed them to ask why and see if they can unsuspend it. If they won't, i'll just sign my boyfriend up and use his account.

Tomorrow I am going to try and list most things on ebay. I want to get things listed ASAP and then it gives me time to post them or list them on freecycle if they don't sell.

Still feeling quite motivated, let's hope it lasts :D

Mum2one, I always looked forward to, and love your updates! they are always so informative. And your little stories are always welcome. Do you scrapbook? If you dont I think you should, or at least write your stories down for future generations. I wish I'd written my nans down, she lived a full life and had some great tales to tell.

Thank you, havent got the patience to scrapbook, thou I think there brilliant, will get down to writing them down eventually, thou I dread what dd is going to come out with next!

  • I worked out yesterday that I've managed to get £56.01 from the surveys I've done in the past 3 months, although technically it was only 2 months because I couldnt come online for a month :rotfl:

today I am fuming!!!! Its as if the whole world doesnt want us to make money. Ebay has decided that you HAVE to offer free p&p when selling in these areas:-

    Women’s accessories
    Men’s accessories
    Boys’ accessories
    Girls’ accessories
    Clothing & Shoe care
    Video Games:
    Accessories
    Games
    Internet Game Accessories
    Merchandise / Books
    Mobile & Home Phones:
    Bluetooth Accessories
    Mobile Phone Accessories
    Mobile Phone Batteries

    Cables/connectors
    Laptop Accessories
    PDA Accessories
    Printer Ink & Cartridges
    Printer Paper & Accessories

    Camcorder Accessories
    Digital Camera Accessories
    Digital Camera Batteries
    Digital Camera Chargers

I was planning on listing a few items of clothing with a start price of 0.99p each week, this includes belts, etc. If they dont sell, oh well, I dont get charged. Now I have to put the postage costs into the price, on average this costs about £1.50p per item so even if it doesnt sell I'll be charged, its ridiculas!!!

I can't believe ebay have done that! I thought it was great when they introduced free listing if it was a 99p or under starting price. They've found a way round this then haven't they? Why should we have to offer free postage? It's a joke.
