Can my refund be reversed?

Quick question.....I bought an item and paid by PayPal. It proved to be not as described, a dispute was opened and eventually the seller refunded me. As soon as he refunded, the dispute automatically closed.
According to my PayPal account, the refund has been made and then paid back to my credit card.
I agreed to send something back to the seller at my own expense as a gesture of goodwill after the refund was made. Is there any way he can reverse the refund or in some way affect the refund?
I dont see how he could, but I'm not well versed with PayPal etc and I want to make sure my refund is safe before I post back.

Def send back tracked by special delivery. But what happens next if , seller says buyer didnt send back the same item? It can be a minefield cant it?TO FINISH LAST, FIRST YOU HAVE TO FINISH....0

Thank guys. I will send by tracked delivery but tbh I dont have to send anything back at all, I'm only doing this as a gesture. The dispute is closed and cannot be re-opened so he'd be hard pushed to say anything about anything really. Wouldn't he?
