Phone, Internet + Sky. Advice needed....

Hi

Im soon to be moving into my first house, which is a new build property.

I would like to get Sky TV, Internet and Home phone all sorted for when I move in.

Is it best to go through just one company? I presume I could only go through Sky for all 3 as no one else can provie us SkyTV? (I dont want freesat, BTVision etc)

Also there is phone lines installed, so I presume we dont have to have these done, however BT will still charge us a connection charge wont they?

Could I just sort all this through Sky or whoever can provide me with internet and phone together?

Sorry my questions are abit muddled, basically I want to know is who is best to go for, for all 3 services and is it hassle doing them via seperate companies. Thanks

Give sky a ring first, they can maybe do the reconnection. May also do it free.
Sky, broadband and Skytalk is £16.50 for all three,
If you have your line through Sky this is just £10 a month, About £1.50 cheaper than BT.
Broadband is free and free evening and weekend calls,
There are always special offers on with Sky so haggle, haggle, haggle, they will bend over backwards if your going for all three, especially if you just go for one and let them think they have talked yu into the other two. Free line rental for a year, ask. free connection ask. Good luck and let us us know how you get on.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

This has puzzled me as I am in a similar position to the OP above. I thought you had to have line rental from BT anyway if you have sky? We had to at our current house. Can they do free line rental?

I wondered if BT were any better than Sky, but the kids love the children's sky tv package. When we moved to this house 2 years ago sky and BT between them were abysmal at getting our broadband connected, they were both blaming each other for work not done at the exchange and it went on for weeks and weeks.

Im hoping when we move to not have a repeat of this saga.
I have autistic spectrum disorder which is a social communication disorder so please be patient with me.
