Music on my Ipod Nano

Hope some of you can help (have tried looking thro prev threads, but there are endless answers!!).

I want to know if it is possible to change any settings so that when I play back music on my ipod, it all plays back at the same volume. Some songs seem alot quieter than others!!!

Also are there any specific settings i must alter to optimize the songs as i download them onto my ipod?? I understand that its better to download straight off a cd rather than from saved albums in windows media player...

Any other tips would be great.

Turn Sound Check on in iTunes:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2425?viewlocale=en_US

(its in the Playback tab of the Preferences)

and then turn it on in your iPod (should be in its settings somewhere)

Thanks guys!!! Another question, what is sound enhancer?? Worth me using?? Also, what is your fav EQ setting???

Apple says "Sound Enhancer is an Apple-developed digital sound processing technology introduced in iTunes 2 that adds additional life and richness to audio playback, improving the listening experience with headphones and with external speakers."

I don't use it or EQ.

It's personal choice really; use whatever you think sounds best.
